A Weekend in Kansas
Mike, Nate, and myself headed out to Kansas, Thursday evening. We were an hour south of the rest of the guys. Thankfully, we didn’t run into the bad weather that they had to experience. We were hunting on some private ground that our friend Jason Smith with Whitetail Properties helped us gain permission on. There was a pile of birds to say the least! This a.m. we had a coyote laying in the field for about an hour or so. We had a tom closing in at 100 yards before the coyote ran him off. Long story short, I killed the coyote at 10 yards and called the tom back in. Should be a great segment on the Kansas Turkey episode!

Shawn …. I’m glad you and Mike enjoyed the property and brought home a bird. Can’t wait to see the hunt.

Looked like a great trip. Congrats on the coyote and turkey all in one hunt. Only a couple more weeks and these MO birds will be in trouble.
