North Dakota – 2 deer down and its still August!

What an unbelieveable start to the 2008 season!  I don’t know what else to say…we loaded up the truck and headed up here with an all night drive in anticipation of a great week of early hunting.  Little did we know we would be here less than 12 hours and have 2 bucks on the ground!  Dusty and I scored on a great velvet 8 with some GREAT footage that I cant wait for everyone to see on Episode 1 next season!  Mike and Skyler scored on a true monster buck, but it was shot with not enough light for the camera, so you’ll just have to try and imagine that one yourslef.  Truly an unbelieveable experience.  The terrain, the velvet horns, and the short amount of time that it took to get the job done here are all firsts for me and I’ll remember it forever!  Special thanks to the guys at Central Dakota Lodge for hosting us!  Here are some pics…

Thats a lot of velvet!
